Jack Latta has been the Principal Percussionist of the Grand Rapids Symphony since 2023, where he was previously Section Percussionist since 2017. Jack is also an active educator, working with students in the Grand Rapids Youth Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony Mosaic Scholars, and at Aquinas College.
Jack has served in multiple leadership capacities, including on orchestra committees, negotiating committees, the AFM Local 56 Executive Board, and as a musician representative on the Grand Rapids Symphony Board of Directors. He has been an ICSOM Delegate since 2022 and was the Conference Coordinator for the 2022 ICSOM Conference in Grand Rapids.
