Leonard Leibowitz has been affiliated with ICSOM since 1971. He has great familiarity with the problems and issues facing symphony, opera, and ballet orchestras, and he has represented orchestras throughout the United States and Canada in negotiations, arbitrations, and other matters as needed.

Mr. Leibowitz attends ICSOM's annual conferences, where he presents workshops on collective bargaining, arbitrations, pensions and welfare, and other topics. He also attends all meetings of the ICSOM Governing Board and other meetings as necessary.

One of the primary functions of ICSOM counsel is to be available on a day-to-day basis to answer questions from chairpersons of orchestra committees or negotiating teams; all questions to counsel should be channeled through these persons. In addition, Mr. Leibowitz's office is a repository for orchestra contracts and arbitration and court decisions, which affect orchestras and individual musicians; these contracts and decisions are sent to any orchestras requesting them.

ICSOM's retainer with Mr. Leibowitz does not cover representation of individual musicians or individual orchestras except as agreed between counsel and those musicians or orchestras.
