Laura Ross has served as ICSOM Secretary since 2002. She is the first officer to be elected to the same position in two Player Conferences having previously served as ROPA Secretary from 1994-2000. She also served as a ROPA member-at-large from 1991-94 and was chair of the ROPA Electronic Media Committee from 1989-2000. When the Nashville Symphony joined ICSOM in 2000, she was appointed to, and continues to serve on, the ICSOM Electronic Media Committee.
Laura joined the Nashville Symphony violin section in 1984. Laura hails from Royal Oak, Michigan; prior to moving to Nashville, she was a member of the Toledo Symphony, the Flint Symphony, the Windsor (Canada) Symphony, and she holds bachelor and master of music degrees in violin performance from the University of Michigan. Laura is also a core member of Music City Baroque, a historically informed performance chamber ensemble in Nashville.
